Come ready to relax and go within as we sow the seeds of growth and transformation planted throughout the winter months. Reflect and explore self-care practices and positive intention setting as a foundation for sustainable growth this spring.

When we ask the question, “What do I need in this moment?”, the answer often falls under the umbrella of nourishment: Emotional nourishment and physical nourishment. Breath work and meditation are both forms of nourishment as are our food choices, connection with others, connection with self and nature, sleep and movement.

It’s incredibly empowering to understand our personal needs, especially in moments of distress. This allows us to care for ourselves in a meaningful and loving day. With simplicity as a foundation, this intimate retreat will offer women the opportunity to explore the nourishing principles of self-care and self-love through approachable practices including yoga, meditation, mindfulness, group talks and journaling exercises. This will be a weekend of self-reflection, connection, laughter, and relaxation.

Your Hosts for Nourished: Spring Mini-Retreat

Katie Cavuto MS, RD, RYT

Hi! I’m, Katie. On paper I am a Integrative Dietitian, Yoga Teacher and Wellness Advocate. While these titles definitely permeate my passions in daily life, there is a lot more to my life than my credentials. I’m a mom. Can I stop there? Seriously (insert cliche mom sentiment). I am a heart-on-my sleeve lover of life! I dream big. I love hard. My deep interactions with all of you: my family, my friends, those I work with, and those I meet during the daily rhythm of the day, truly inspire me and flood me with gratitude. I cry often and I’m proud of it. I embrace my imperfections because let’s be real, we all have them, and if you ask me, our ability to embrace our messy lives is a truly beautiful attribute. I love all things that nourish our souls including good food, simple recipes, great conversations, travel, and time on my yoga mat. I willingly aspire to appreciate the beauty in the ordinary moments that make my life and heart so full.

I use my diverse background, as well as the lessons I’ve have learned from my personal chronic illness journey and continued personal growth, to support my clients in learning to connect with their intuition and self-healing powers. Health is holistic and wellness is a personal path though the foundations for most are rooted in trust, self-love, self-respect, and abundant joy. I aim to celebrate these principles as well as your need for simplicity and approach-ability. 

Katie’s recipes and wellness tips have been showcased in several on-line and print national magazines as well as on local and national TV. 

Detailed Itinerary for Nourished: Spring Mini-Retreat

May 2nd and 3rd, 2020

Saturday, May 2nd

Arrive as early as 9am to settle into your room and mingle. Retreat sessions will begin at 10am and end around 5pm with breaks for snacks and and lunch. Dinner will be served around 6:30pm.

Sunday, May 3rd

Early risers can enjoy an optional all-levels yoga class. Breakfast will be served at 9am and retreat sessions will begin by 10am. The retreat will close around lunchtime when we will enjoy one last meal as a group before heading home. 

Accomodations for Nourished: Spring Mini-Retreat

“The Townsend” in Bridgeton, New Jersey

The Townsend is a stunning property situated on the Cohansey River just 45 min from Philadelphia, 1hr 45 from Baltimore and 45 min from Delaware. Located in New Jersey near preserved pinelands, wetlands and lakes, there are countless opportunities for escaping into the wilderness.

On the way to The Townsend, you’ll pass roadside farmstands and wide open fields. This meticulously restored farmhouse, located on the Cohansey River, features waterfront views in every room in the house so you can unwind, reflect and enjoy the company of family and friends. Outside you’ll find a dock, firepit, and a large field, perfect for outdoor activities. A quick 3 mile drive takes you to the historic town of Greenwich, where you can grab a bite at a favorite lunch spot, Aunt Betty’s.

Pricing

Please note that the pricing is per person not per room. The pricing varies based on the rooming options. For example, if you choose a double occupancy, private bed you are securing your spot which includes the bed, meals and retreat. Another person could choose the same and share the room with you.
