Your Hosts for Manifest Joy Mini-Retreat

Katie Cavuto MS, RD, RYT

Hi! I’m, Katie. On paper I am a Integrative Dietitian, Yoga Teacher and Wellness Advocate. While these titles definitely permeate my passions in daily life, there is a lot more to my life than my credentials. I’m a mom. Can I stop there? Seriously (insert cliche mom sentiment). I am a heart-on-my sleeve lover of life! I dream big. I love hard. My deep interactions with all of you: my family, my friends, those I work with, and those I meet during the daily rhythm of the day, truly inspire me and flood me with gratitude. I cry often and I’m proud of it. I embrace my imperfections because let’s be real, we all have them, and if you ask me, our ability to embrace our messy lives is a truly beautiful attribute. I love all things that nourish our souls including good food, simple recipes, great conversations, travel, and time on my yoga mat. I willingly aspire to appreciate the beauty in the ordinary moments that make my life and heart so full.

I use my diverse background, as well as the lessons I’ve have learned from my personal chronic illness journey and continued personal growth, to support my clients in learning to connect with their intuition and self-healing powers. Health is holistic and wellness is a personal path though the foundations for most are rooted in trust, self-love, self-respect, and abundant joy. I aim to celebrate these principles as well as your need for simplicity and approach-ability.

Katie’s recipes and wellness tips have been showcased in several on-line and print national magazines as well as on local and national TV.

I’m Julia. I am mother, daughter, friend, teacher and student.
I do my best to work and play in equal parts.
I root to rise.

My formal training in yoga and ayurveda was completed at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and offered the opportunity to study with honored teachers Dr. Scott Blossom, Dr. Rosy Mann, and Joseph Le Page among others. Most recently I completed the magu advanced teacher training with Alex Auder in Philadelphia. My informal training continues daily.

I believe that embodied spirituality is foundational to individual and collective well-being and a basic right of all beings; for this reason I am deeply committed to spiritual activism and social justice. I head a non-profit dedicated to cultural shift by bringing peacebuilding circle processes into schools and wider communities, as well as ensuring that embodied spiritual practices are accessible for all.

The decade or so that I have been on the path has been beautiful and challenging. I have found my passion and purpose, and can honestly and gratefully say that i live my truth each day.

I hold a master’s degree in social justice and women’s spirituality and am currently pursuing a doctorate in liberation psychology.
