Meet the Irresistible Dark Chocolate bar! Boasting nuts as the first ingredient, this bar is sure to satisfy. Pistachios, almond butter, strawberries, quinoa and oats come together in this creative combination of flavors and textures.
I used the ingredients and flavors from the Irresistible Dark Chocolate Bar to create this simple quinoa breakfast bowl. I try to have plain, cooked quinoa in the fridge or freezer each week so it is available for recipes just like this. Considering it is already cooked, I simply heat a single serve portion of quinoa (or another grain, like oats, if you have it on hand). This cuts down on prep time, which is especially important at breakfast. I rarely have time to brush my hair let alone cook up a batch of grains!
So, I warmed up my grains with some milk and almond butter and topped that off with pistachios, strawberries and dark chocolate, yes, chocolate! Let’s pause for a moment to relish in the joy of eating chocolate for breakfast.
The combination of sweet, salty, crunchy, nutty, creamy and chocolaty is divine. Add to that a sprinkle of orange zest, and you will be blissfully savoring each bite.

- 2/3 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 tsp honey
- pinch of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sliced strawberries
- 1 tablespoon pistachios, unshelled
- 1 tablespoon shaved or grated dark chocolate
- Orange zest to taste
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the quinoa with the coconut milk, almond butter, honey and cinnamon for 3-4 minutes, stirring to combine.
- Top with strawberries, pistachios, dark chocolate shavings and orange zest.
