{Nourish} Seeductive DIY Crackers
Store bought crackers are often made with refined flours and, thus, are void of nutrients. Don’t be fooled by the whole flax seeds sprinkled on top. Flax is difficult to digest so the nutrients can only be digested if the flax is ground. In the mood for a super-seedy, nutrient dense cracker? Give these a try.
Seeductive Crackers
¼ cup whole flax seeds
¼ cup ground flax seeds
¼ cup almond meal
¼ cup shredded, unsweetened coconut
¼ cup chia seeds
1 ½ cups water
Pinch of salt
Directions:
In bowl, combine ingredients. Let stand for 10 minutes to thicken.
Evenly spread mix on parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and cut into 2 inch squares.
Return to oven for 5 minutes, then flip crackers over and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until crisp.
