whole cooking and nutritionIt almost feels surreal to hold this book in my hands. A book I wrote. A book that started as a dream at least 5 years ago, though maybe it was more. A book that took 2 1/2 years to write with the help of so many of you! You tested recipes. You championed me on. And I, with a humble heart am thrilled to introduce it to you! Meet “Whole Cooking and Nutrition”. Today is the big day! It is officially available for you to enjoy!

While this book was published by the American Diabetes Association,  this book is definitely not just for diabetics. It is for everyone. I made it a point to write this book for each and every one of you because nourishing our bodies is a form of self-love whether we have diabetes or not. Let’s face it, we all have something and we can all use some healthy living inspiration!

It’s time to embrace the joy of eating well with an intention that healthy foods are nourishing, sustaining and delicious. Whole Cooking and Nutrition shifts the conversation away from dieting to one of positive messages and gratifying intentions. For decades people with diabetes and other ailments have been taught to adhere to strict, uninspired diets eschewing taste in favor of health; this book promotes a healthy lifestyle and, more importantly, restores the joy of eating. With a focus on whole foods—it is my hope to empower readers to get into the kitchen to create approachable and delicious recipes that are nourishing– whether you have diabetes or not!
